From Face Paint to AR Mirrors: Legia Warsaw’s Next-Level Fan Activation

Could anything be more thrilling to talk about than our latest Augmented Reality project? Well, there’s only one contender: it had to be football-related! After weeks of pitching, development, and project management, we’re excited to finally share the story of our latest campaign for Legia Warsaw, the most successful Polish football club in history, boasting 16 Ekstraklasa championships, 20 Polish Cups, and 5 Polish Super Cups.

But, besides the theme, what makes this project truly stand out? The answer is: AR Mirrors!

When Legia’s marketing team reached out to see if we’d support their campaigns with some creative AR activation, we didn’t hesitate—absolutely, we’re in! These folks always know how to stay ahead in the social media game with exciting activation ideas, and this time was no different. But instead of sticking to the usual team support AR activation, we decided to take the fan experience to the next level.

The Augmented Reality filter our studio developed featured five different ways for Legia fans to show their football pride, support the team, and spread the love. From matchday face painting and animated confetti-like backgrounds to the kids’ favorite mascot—everything was there! But the Instagram filter was just the start. Legia wanted more, and we were ready to deliver even bigger things. Literally!

On one of the home match days, our studio magicians brought the magic to life with a dedicated AR Mirror, custom-built for these epic moments. We set up this digital marvel right in the heart of the stadium’s family area, aiming to provide a bit of pre-match and halftime excitement for the youngest Legia fans.

Our mission? Keep the kids entertained and engaged while giving parents a much-needed break—no more worrying about them wandering off or getting restless.
