McDonald’s – Wear Your Mask

McDonald’s Poland’s Augmented Reality effect was part of the 360 campaign building awareness of the popular fast-food chain’s compliance with the health and safety protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic. The campaign primarily aimed at showing that you can order a meal at their restaurants safely.

The effect we created was immediate follow-up to the main TV spot and it closely resembled its look and feel by displaying an animated face mask, together with the matching doodles and the campaign’s song to stimulate the engagement from the dance-loving users of the app. 

Animated words on masks were matched to the song’s lyrics and shown at the same time when you could hear them. The song was automatically added to each TikTok video with the filter.

This effect was the first TikTok branded AR campaign in Poland, and it was a huge success with over 158k UGC pieces recorded, which gathered 420M views.
